The Synthetic Solution

With the debacle of Mantl_Crop's Support Now, which lead to many Mantlr's addictive dependacy on the neural stimulant, the new and safest way to get dangerous work done was through the creation of the "Synthetic Solution". The creation of synthetic humans was a way to assure safety for workers by removing them in dangerous jobs. Once approved by the city, it was stipulated that only jobs that carried a high risk of serious injury or risk of death may have a synthetic worker.

As the years went by and public officials retired, the rules governing the amount of sythetics loosened. It wasn't long before synths were being used for mundane everyday work. Hundreds upon hundreds of synths were created and shipped to monufatures all over the city. A side business developed from companies that would sell synths to smaller companies who couldn't afford them. Some synths were bought and sold to underground networks. Synths were everywhere.

But there was antoher problem brewing. Unlike the dependency of SNow which is the number one neural drug crisis in the city, synths created a massive shortage for work.

It wasn't long before riots broke out against corporations and synths for taking most of the jobs in New Mancer City. The homless dregs are in the thousands thanks to the Synthetic Solution. Mostly are addicted to SNow. Mantl_Corp yet again had huge financial success by funding the program and yet again was responsible for the demise of the middle class.

A deeper, more serious, problem was developing and soon everything and everyone will be affected by it.
